Cascades

Spring cascades down from glaciers
Brimming, swimming, glittering from sunlit canals
Stirring the bark to bud,
Blossoming into snow white apricots
And cherry pinks.
The knobby hardened stems,
Callouses of winter bulge and burst
Into green fireworks
And the rains play xylophone on the sidewalk.

There's warmth inside of me
We lounge under waterfalls and let
The cold pounding massage our backs
We leap from rocks and fall into blue waters
With a splash.
The clouds are crisp as starched collars,
The skies even deeper blue than your eyes.

They say that Love is in the air,
But I think it's Life.
They say that "summer's almost here"
But your hand is already inside mine.
